Sunday Seed - June 8
Mark 4: 26-29. “He also said, ‘This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.”
Our lives and faith are much like a seed. God scatters us on the earth when we are born, and puts us with families that will care for us. God intends for us to grow in His will. We may not always understand what happened in our lives to make us who we are. We make mistakes, have problems, and get brought down by the struggles of the world. However, God places people in our lives to help us grow in our knowledge, encourage us, and support us. Sometimes we do not always see those people at that moment. If you plant a single seed of corn, it will not pollinate well. It needs others seeds of corn. Just as we as Christian’s need other Christian’s to help us grow in our faith. When we live and work together in God’s field, his harvest will only grow more.
